McDonalds

Are you a fat person?

(nothing against McDonalds - though the only time I've eaten the stuff was when hungover/drunk at uni - not exactly the sort of stuff you expect mums to be buying unless the standard alternative for said mum is say ready meals from iceland)
I find your post offensive and insensitive. And disrespectful. There is NOTHING wrong with eating ANYTHING in moderation. We can't all be perfect like you and eat a carrot for every meal.

you might want to re read it - I'm not saying there is anything wrong with eating fast food on occasions:rolleyes:

From time to time of course it's not going to do you any harm, my question is, why the heck would you want to eat it in the first place! And targetting/counting solely calories is such a bad ethos for bodybuilding.

Indeed counting is not everyones cuppa, but if for example you have had a busy day or something happened that prevented you from eating, it can be an acceptable way of getting the calories in. That is supposing you haven't had one for a while.

I'd honestly, and I really mean this, would choose an alternative. :)

i'm no mcdonalds fan but it's just about edible and at least it's consistent wherever you go. you always know what you're going to get. you can't say the same for some other chains.....

Yeah, about £5.00 for a double cheese bacon burger though. :(

double xl bacon cheeseburger is worth the money as it's at least twice as big as any burger mc donalds does.
Burger king is edible, not brilliant and given the choice i'll go to a proper burger joint/ van but it's alright.

Mcdonalds is horrible though, tastes like chemicals, sugar, salt, yuck! The meats awful quality.
If you take the gherkins out of a cheeseburger it legally classes as a pudding.

Seriously, I'd rather have dry bread and water for sustainance.

Your local one must be poor then.

The one here is good. Don't forget it's a franchise and the quality/freshness very much depends on each individual restaurant.

I've tried them all different mcdonalds over the years.
I don't often eat processed food and find that because of this I can really taste the stupid chemically enhancement/ sugar/ salty crap in mcdonalds. Not to mention it gives me bum gravy itis sometimes.
Whats wrong with making a normal burger patty, frying/ grilling it and putting it in between some normal bread rolls, WHY do they insist on adding all this crap?

It's as bad as ready meals, truely disgusting.

You can't say it's not all bad quality and filled with salt, sugar and all sorts because the nutritional information tells us that and common sense tells us mcdonalds could serve up cow **** and people would buy it because of the name.

Well not like proper chips, where the potatos are cut and cooked, mcdonalds process them so they can add hydrogenated vegetable fat and such to save fractions of pennies per customer.

Not a fan of Maccys at all. Much prefer Burger King, but only set foot in them once in a blue moon. Not that I'm a self-righteous nob or anything, but 99% of the time I have enough spare minutes to go somewhere better. :)

It's real food, it's cheap, it's quick and it serves its purpose. Also, it has absolutely zero detrimental effect on your health unless taken
excessively - as with just about anything on this planet.

McD's fries seriously suck though. Really bad. Not as bad as KFC though.
