MCE 2004/2005 Licenses

I'm reformated a PC for someone which has a MCE 2004 license, however I only have a MCE 2005 disk at home. Will the 2004 license work with this or are they exclusively seperate?

It won't work i'm afraid.....different OS so the licence key will be invaild.
