i have a rog maximus x hero with an 8700k, if i want to run all cores at 4.7 without eg changing any voltages etc, how do i do that? i know asus have MCE but that autos to crazy voltages doesn't it?

More specifically, if I leave the settings at Stock (with XMP), but disable MCE, then the voltage seems normal and HWInfo shows 1.328 as the Maximum Voltage logged, and this is also the Current Voltage when the system is under load. If I just change Sync All Cores and set a 47 multiplier, leaving everything else alone, the voltages start going up, the typical Current Voltage goes up to 1.344 and the Maximum Voltage is 1.42. So...how do I change Sync All Cores and the multiplier but leave the voltage completely alone?

Disable turbo, set the multiplier by 47 clock with the clocks at 100mhz then set a manual voltage at least that is what you did on older platforms. Leaving voltage on auto always leads to over voltage, it's the way the manufacture can be sure that most chips are stable at the frequency. You won't be able to run 4.7 without changing it from auto without nutty voltages imo.
