McLaren F1 car launch date?

When is the new McLaren being launched? I think it might be the 10th of February but can anyone confirm that?

Also, looking here http://www.mclaren.com/ it looks like it's going to be orange.

Yep, it's definately orange. Not sure of the release date though, 10th may be right

Apparently, it's already suffering from a lack of speed and reliability problems. I hope they get this car right because Kimi deserves to be a world champion sooner rather than later.

I'm sure I read that the orange is just a temporary colour scheme for winter testing. The actual livery will be unveiled as part of the offcial launch.

I hope so. For some time now McLaren have had the best colour schemes. That Orange is just not right.

Orange is McLaren's original colour

They also used orange in the testing period before the 97 season, before switching to the Mercedes livery, they'll do the same this time too (although I'm a big fan of the orange, I would prefer the marlboro red/white

Orange is the proper colour for a McLaren

.

They'll have the same silver/back scheme on this seasons cars though and maybe a combination red/silver/black for the 2007 season due to having Vodaphone sponsorship (e.g. like some of the Merc DTM cars).

Hmmm...well I'm working at a big party for McLaren, in Woking (I think), on Friday the 10th of February so I don't know what else it could be.

I love the McLaren Tech Center.

As of yet I've not heard anything about an official launch date - all I've been passed is mid Feb so it could well be the official launch.

Officially - there is no news yet.
