So what are we expecting? Evolution of the 2012 car or something radical?

I won't be around to see it so please post pics :)

Wonder if they will keep the same nose and continue the development or change to the stepped nose. It didn't seem to make too much difference either way last year.

Unless the regs about tub heights have changed and they're no longer all going to be forced into lower noses overall I can't see them changing several years of low nose/tub design philosophy just to raise the tub for 2013 only to have to drop it again for 2014?

Evolved package, last years car was very much a contender and clear fastest on many tracks but it was reliability that cost lewis a easy championship so that's where they need to focus, that and making sure the pit crew are sober for the first half of the season.

Just hoping that have kept away from a duck nose.

Yeah this. I think their tub might already comply with the 2014 rules.

I'm expecting lots of work around the exhausts.

Which of course probably wont be evident today, and possibly wont be seen (much) before 2nd test

Wonder if they'll go for the super small gearbox like williams did? Supposed to make the rear end smaller and tighter.

And cause even more reliability issues........that would be a huge gamble after McLaren's reliability issues last season

Yeah, rear bodywork will be dummy stuff, and the diffuser will be blanked off like it has been for the last few years.

Basically expect the biggest change to be the fact they have peeled the Hamilton sticker off the side and stuck a Perez one on.

Its still Vodafone McLaren Mercedes until the end of this year. If there are going to be any livery changes then they will be for 2014 when/if Vodafone stop their sponsorship. So I can't see why they would drop the chrome or the rocket red yet?

They could still have orange and rocket red for the VF branding, and they don't have to be silver just because of the Merc. engines.

Knowing these things though it will either be a non-event or something dull and corporate, like announcing a bit of Mexican money.

The chrome is a McLaren thing, not a Mercedes thing. Ron has said they will keep it regardless of engine supplier.

Orange would rock though!
