MCP35X making ugly noise

So I've installed an MCP35X in a koolance RP-402X2. I've filled the loop with water though there's still in it. I switch on the pump and water starts flowing normally. However after a short time like 1 minute the pump starts to make a very load noise like it's hitting something and I have to switch it off. If I switch it on again immediately after it works for around a 1 minute and it starts to do the same noise.

I've checked and there is nothing stuck in the pump's impeller. I'm starting to think maybe I'm screwing it too tight to the resorvior mounting.

When I'm back home I'll try to loosen the screws and if that does not work I'll try to use the pump on its own without the reservior.

Anyone got some suggestions as I'm totally lost on what could be the problem.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Hi, using a MCP35X pump with the MCP35X reservior, just remembered we had a power cut and when l booted up my PC the pump sounded like a bag of hammers, cleared the c-moss and the pump was running normal again. I'm using Gigabyte Easytune 6 to control the speed of the pump via PWM, mobo is a Gigabyte EX58A UD5.

My MCP35X pump with the MCP35X reservior mounted on the foam pad and their is very little vibration + noise can't fault it a tall. Where have you put the res? if its on the base of your case try mounting it on a foam bed or get some anti vibration washers if its in a bay with foam bed top and bottom to soak up the any vibrations causing noise against the case.

Also you might have a little bit air trapped in the pump tilt it back a little so if thier is any air trapped it can flow out..

I have a dual bay reservoir and the pump is mounted on the side of it. The koolance RP-402X2 is specifically designed for ddc pumps. While it is doing that noise even If I tilt it back and forward the noise does not stop. The only way to stop that noise is to switch off the pump as the noise is so bad I'm afraid something will break if I leave it running like that.

I managed to solve the problem. Basically I over tightened the pump to the reservoir. I loosened the screws that that ugly noise is gone. Just wanted to post this just in case anyone else has the same problem.
