MCSE - 70-270 ( Windows XP )

Anyone done this exam ?

Just wondering if it is based purely on XP Pro, and nothing else ??

Currently going on courses etc, but pretty confident that I should be ok with XP Pro without going on a course.

Yes done it and passed (very lucky I passed as I did very little revision).

It's based on Windows XP, Active Directory a little on IP / DHCP / DNS also applications running on XP. Not to mention XP deployment (i.e. Sysprep and RIS).

Basically it incorporates a lot. I'd recommend a lot of revision as I didn't take it to seriously and almost suffered for it.

That has a "small" list towards the bottom of the page with what they expect you to know if taking the MCP.

I passed it with score of 927, ms wont say what the pass rate is but its belived to be 750. The best thing to do is to get the ms press pack book example questions - its rock hard but its about understanding the microsoft way of thinking and why the answers they give is more right the others.

Its a very easy exam actually, most of the stuff you would know from supporting it on a domain, the hardest part I found was the deployment stuff that you rarely use unless doing a big roll out.

I passed with over 900, just used an exam cram book.
