Just got a swiftech MCW60 waterblock to fit on my x1900xt and found the face of the waterblock sits about a 1/4 mil away from the gpu, can actually see an air gap even when it is screwed down correctly, i'm sure the thermal paste will contact both sides but I'm not going to run the setup like that.
anyone noticed this with this waterblock and there card?

mine worked perfectly, i was using the x-plate, with all 4 scres in.
Hi, yeah the 2 screw mount is for old ati gfx cards, I think they neglected to mention the 4 screw x-plate mounting is also needed for modern ati cards as well as nvidia cards.

anyway I was forced to file the 4 stand-offs mounted to the chrome plate down by a fraction of a mil, thats all it needed. as I said it probably would have been fine before, but i just felt it didnt sit flat with the gpu.

well its up and running and temps are awesome! my x1900xt ran around 80C on load with the crap stock cooler and now its not even getting close to 40C on load! cant wait to overclock this gfx further :)
