Yes, the x2, x3 and x4 signifies the number of cores. Though a higher core count doesent always mean better performance accross different cpu's, it almost certainly does with cpu's of the same model.

Unless of course you put a crazy o.c on the x3 or something.

But for all intents and purposes, x4! :D
