Me and Call Centers

Is it something about me and call centers but I never get what I need.

My wife brought a New JVC TV a few months ago, and it has had the same fault 3 times now, and all they keep offering is an engineer.....any advice?
Brought it July this year.
1 fault - Sept
2nd - 3 weeks ago
3rd fault - yesterday (They returned the TV back 'repaired' on thursday and it still dont work...
 
Just spoke to Trading Standards and they said under the Sales of Goods act 1979, they have to replace the faulty product.

I phoned them and they said they will give a repair, I mentioned about the sales of goods act and they have offered me a replacement LOL.
I have to wait for them to get back to me now.....

Sounding like you know what your on about goes a long way LOL
 
Which company did you buy the TV from?

Personally, I would be demanding a new TV this time :) I've worked for high-street retailers and if you sit back and do what they tell you, it'll never be fixed properly!

My wife got it from Littlewoods.


What were the faults? How old is the T.V? I would ask for a new TV to be honest..

The fault was a HIGH pitched sound on all 3 occasions.
The TV is 4 months old.
I have demanded a new TV and told them there is NO WAY I am having a repair for the 3rd time...want a replacement and they said that should be OK
