First thing, try not to mock my MS paint job, lol.

Wasup, well here's my DC5. Bit of info first.

51 Plate, 44,500 Miles. Imported in 2005. Ive had it since July. It's standard other than a Kakimoto Regu06 exhaust, (which is so brilliant, only hearing it in person does it any justice) a kenwood DD unit, and Tein springs, which iam swapping to Eibach's as the ride is too harsh at the mo. The car is in great nic for it's age. No kerbing at all on wheels, the front had a full respray before i got it, and new pads and discs all round.

Last month it was in my dads garage for a weekend, to touch up the engine bay and replace rusty bolts, etc.

Ive only got a few things to do before im 100% happy, i want to repaint the wiper arms as they look gash, and repaint the front brembo's when ive got the time, as ive got the kit to do em, and they look great when done.

Nothing else planned.......other than driving it, hehe. I love it. Revs to 8600rpm, the VTEC kicks in at 6000, and the band seems a lot wider and it pulls better than the CTR i had before.

Ill try and get a video up off the exhaust on full chat.

Opinions, etc most welcome. Waiting for Honda=No torque comments.

Yeah, it's a new 10 Plate Z4, pretty sure by the sound of it, it's the 3.0 Twin Turbo, hehe.

The LSD is pretty harsh on uneven roads.

Thats just the Engine Start button like bledd said.

It's a bitch to keep clean, gonna be tough in winter!

Hehe, yep, it's a shame Honda don't make anything decent anymore, other than the FN2.

The FD2 has stopped in Japan now. It's anoying because if you think what honda were making around 2000/2001:

DC2, then DC5
NSX
S2000 now they make none of those, or there replacements.

Hehehe, thanks everyone (well most, lol). Yeah i hope to take it on track someday. It's my daily driver, but i definatly want to track it in the future.

Theres plenty of air in the tyres, 31psi.

Whats wrong with the interior shifty? Ok, it's no Bentley but it's a nice place to be, and the seats are awesome. it's no worse than a ford or vauxhall or any other car of similar value. It's just not loaded with ****, they weigh about 1180kg.


Ive still not seen another one since ive had it, and only ever seen 1 in 2 years, lol.

What exhaust is the one in video, mine sounds great.

Why would you miss a bigger engine? This puny 4 Cylinder 2.0 has the same power as a V6 3.0, says a lot really.

The sounds just smacks of chavs/boy racers caining their small engine cars around, thats probably why it puts me off. The deeper roar of a bigger engined car just sounds better

It sounds nothng like a boy racer car, with the stupid 5" drain pipe on the back, or those awful scooby's and evo's, they akll sound the same, with a horrible drone all the time, it's not a good noise, it's just loud.

This is a good noise. Sounds a bit like a motorbike, and it's only rated at 92dba, the stock system is 91dba.

Of course you have to rev it to get the best out of it, but it's by no means slow out of VTEC, fine for over-taking. Ive never understood why people hate VTEC so much, when you wanna have fun, you wanna nail the engine, keep it in the rev band, far more entertaining.

I do like ST220's though. If i still had the family it would be on my list lol.

Fonzee i assume by your sig you have a JDM DC2?

Hahah not quite. To cut a long story short, my boys mum is a bitch, lol. I had a EP3 at the time.

Is my EP3 Type R as quick as a DC5 ?

Not quite, but there's not much in it to be honest. The DC5 is a little quicker.

DC5- 1180KG- 217bhp
EP3- 1210ish -197bhp

It's not massive, it's more noticeable at higher speeds. It's more the looks and the handling.
Ill take some better pictures with my dads proper camera in the future, wanna get some in fog, fog looks ace lol.

LOL, opened a can oh worms there!!!!

The JDM Civic is no doubt a quick car, would be neck and neck with a DC5, but it still looks like a civic.

It's funny, since ive got the DC5, people in my town who own EP3's, nod and flash me, especially the dude who owns a JDM Civic, and i have no idea who he is, lol.

Id love to supercharge it in the future, but with a little son, it's not really viable.

There's a 273bhp N/A DC5 with cams on the dc5 forum, now that would be awesome.
