I'm looking at registering a .me domain, however it seems most sites don't offer whois privacy for .me?

Only one I have found is easyspace, any idea of others that will protect my privacy?

Problem is the domain costs a lot more to begin with than some I've seen that don't offer privacy. Anyone have another suggestion?

I hate the way they blackmail you into buying the whois protection. I just left the door number off mine as I didn't want everyone knowing where I lived as it's a security risk.

It's not blackmail - it's a feature which requires registries to complete various forms, keep records, etc. So there is a cost :)

For .uk domains however Nominet don't have any such rules and simply provide an opt-out of showing the registrant address (for non-trading individuals), which as a domain registrar I love - at the end of the day KISS!

I heartily recommend Hover.com as the opposite of GoDaddy's quagmire of up-selling and bad design. Whois privacy is part of the base product and not an add-on.
