Can anybody tell me how many grams of protein/creatine you can fit in the scoops from the supplement sites, all the supplements dont come with plastic scoops and you have to buy them separate, these are the plastic scoops that are available:

0.5ml Measure, 1ml Measure, 5ml Measure, 75ml Measure, 150ml Measure

If you could tell me how many grams you can fit in to each scoop it would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The weight in grams will depend on the particular supplement as they all have different densities. The only way for you to know will be to get some scales.

They quite often do come with scoops, they'll just be hidden in the deepest darkest depths of the tub :p. Generally 90cc scoop = 30g of whey.
Scales are your best bet still.

No the sites I use dont supply the scoops with the supplements, it says on every page, thats why you have to buy them seperate.

I need to measure out my supplements accuratly thats why I posted.

I've got some scales but they cant do low numbers. The scales we have go from 0 to 25g to 50g to 75g to 100g. So I doubt I can measure 1g or 5g with the scales we have.

I just thought someone on here that already takes supplements might know.

I've emailed the the website owner, I'm hoping they'll give me this information, am pretty sure millions of people all over the world will prob be asking this same question. I guess they dont add scoops to make the product cheaper but at same time I'm wondering if its a con, so people use the wrong scoops and use too much and then go back to the site to buy more supplements because they've ran out lol.

If you are using myprotein, when you view their supplements it will tell you the contents / weight of one scoop of the scoops they sell :)

lol, narr mate, I already said, they spacifically dont come with scoops! haha, most supplement sites dont put scoops in their powders now. It says this on the website and on the product.

EDIT: I knew this when I bought the supplements, but I bought the plastic scoops separate and just presumed I'd be able to find out afterwards which scoops to use for which supplement. I thought it would be easy to find out, but when I've done google searches I haven't found the information am looking for and so thats why I thought I'd post on some forums as well.

I dont think i use a single site that doesnt give them unless its small amounts of supplements.

Well I just hope the company I bought it off emails me back coz nobody seems to know, it's a bit of a daft situation really, I guess once I know the weight that each scoop can hold tho then I'll have those scoops forever and shouldn't be a problem in the future.

Yeah he's right, myprotein do not include scoops for most of their products unless you're buying a big tub of something (usually their 'MAX' range).

Hey peeps, the people over at bulkpowders just emailed me back and give me the information I wanted, this should be helpful for the rest of you and maybe even other people searching the internet and looking for answers on plastic scoops for measuring out supplements:

Dear Scott

Thank you for your enquiry.

The information you require is on the website - if you scroll through the 'more information' section until you get to 'directions' then there is usually information about the size of scoops and how much they hold there for you.

To save you looking them up individually - level scoops in each case

Creatine - 5ml scoop holds 3.2g

HMB - 1ml scoop holds 0.5g

BCAA - 5ml scoop holds 2.5g

Dextrose - 75ml scoop holds 51g

Whey - 75ml scoops holds 25g uncompressed and 30g when compressed

I trust you find this helpful.

Best wishes,

Am happy now coz I didnt want to use too little or too much. I ordered all 5 scoops off their website, they didnt cost much around 20p to 50p if I remember rightly, and since I've now got every plastic scoop I can measure out everything accurately.

EDIT: He said the info is on the website, but I still cant find it, lol, must be blind.
