We have a butchers / farm shop near us called Gog magog hills which is simply the best place for meats.

Trouble is, I get to the counter and I'm like a kid at a sweet shop.

Went down yesterday and seemed obliged to purchase a fair amount! I have to go back on Saturday for a bbq as well.

I got: butterflied shoulder of lamb, skirt of beef, 6 piri piri chicken thighs, 6 of their chilli sausages, a massive pork belly and some bacon off cuts.

I could have been there all day! Going to do sesame ginger skirt of beef with asparagus and gomashio with the beef and was thinking of slow cooking the belly on the BBQ, if anyone had any ideas for marinades?

Anyone else have any good butchers near them?

Between 2-3 people thats a perfectly reasonable amount I think.

+1 for the belly of pork on the BBQ. How about some sort of soy and honey glaze?
