Meaty Contract Needed...

Hey guys,

Looking for a reasonable contract.
Currently on o2 online 100, and it's not economical at all.
Need something around 1000 texts, and 500 minutes minimum really. Sim only too.

Are there any good clearance offers out there? Had a quick look on Phones4U at lunch, and the 3G site. Nothing magical, but what do you recommend?

Orange's Panther range? Starts at £45/month for 400mins (600mins if you get a 3G phone and take out an 18 month contract). £55 is 600mins/900mins for 3G/18months - and includes insurance.

Only 100 texts, but you can add text bundles if you want 1000. Not going to be cheap though.
 
Ignore orange - who knows what they are doing :S
Go with the flext 50, it'll see you well and after 6 months you can switch it down if you feel you arn't getting your moneys work. :)
 
Looks Like Online 200/400 as much as I want to leave o2...

If I have my own phone, will insurance cover that or not?

Also, can I change 6 months into a 12 month contract with my online 100, because if they get funny, tbh I've got a decent case to speak to Offtel about, and I'd be more than peeved if they're not keen to upgrade me to a more expensive contract...

You can change to a higher tariff at anytime on O2 Online IIRC.

However, only onto a tariff that is supplied with a handset, not the SIM free tariffs you're looking at (the correct one you could upgrade to would be either 200min + 500 texts for £30pm or 400min + 500 texts for £45pm)

TBH speaking with OFTEL won't get you that far in the mobile world - they probably have a huge backlog of complaints to which yours will be another figure, mobile networks are never the most friendly with regards customer service :)
