So after 4 years my G11 keyboard is giving up on me, the lights have died, keys sometimes don't registers and the space bar is partially broken.

So i'm looking for a new keyboard, currently have my eyes on the new Roccat Isku, but i dont know if i should purchase a Membrane or Mechanical Keyboard.
Also is the new Logictech G19 worth its price tag?

please help me out on deciding?

(guess this is kind of a spec me thread lol)

1) I would steer away from Roccat, until they get some track record. I have never been impressed with their QA and tend to launch products with defects.

2) mechanical keyboards are more sturdy, but a lot more expensive. IMO, mechanical is the way really, if you can afford one.

3) you have all sorts of mechanical switches. From clicky tactile blues to non clicky black and reds. It's a matter of personal preference.

I use a Logitech Illuminated Keyboard which does everything, has great tactile feedback, very low noise, and very flat, short travel keys (think laptops). The best keyboard I've used so far, but hard to recommend as a gaming keyboard (latest revisions have key ghosting problems), and it doesn't have the sturdiness of pure mechanical keyboards. Saying that I've had no problems for the past two years.

Gonna repost here a list.

- Razer BlackWidow Ultimate.
- QPad MK80.
- Mionix Zibal 60.
- Corsair Vengeance K90.
- Corsair Vengeance K60 (not illuminated).
- Steeseries 6G / 7G (not illuminated).
- Zowie Celerita (not illuminated).
- And a few other more exotic(?!?).

All use different Cherry switches (blue, brown, black, red).

I'm waiting on reviews and user feedback from the K90. Really liking the look of that one.
