right ive pretty much finished my UCAS application apart form picking the 6 courses.

im set on doing the mechanical engineering course h300

however the ucas search feature is rubbish and wont let me search by the amount of tariff points needed.

i dont fancy looking at every single university on the site. (started and its taking aggges)so im looking for some recomendations of places to study mech engineering.

so if anyones studied this or know someone then i can use these recomendations and research into the uni more when im off tommorow

at college we just got told about and visited really good places like liverpool and sheffield where i cant go as i wont get 340 points even if a miracle happens  :p

any help or recommendations would be great

yeah i went on an open day to sheffield and it pretty much sounded amazing ,

then at the end of the day they told me id need DDD or DDM in my national diploma

ouchhhhhhh is how i felt, shame is that id of managed that easily if i didnt mess up my first year by leaving to work :/

ill most likely put it down on my list of 6 because id really love to go there and its made me work as hard as possible so far this year.

haha yep im at middlesbrough college now :(

ive put northumbria down already :)

the rest of my group went on a visit there last year and looked good/is localish, sadly that was after i sort of quit before coming back.

and im trying to avoid teesside at all costs :p there must be a reason you only need half the points you need at other unis :o :p

not sure we only have 2 instructors for our whole course :/

kung fu tony and ian clarkson the worlds most oldest smelliest horrible man haha

most the engineering staff have been got rid off as the new head of engineering is an ex mechanic and is trying to make the college swing that way.

and yeah kahn i mean unis that arent right up the top but are still respectable :(

thanks allot for that link Kahn !

id never even thought about a foundation degree but will defiantly look into it more in the morning .

its a shame i got bored and left last year because i was getting top marks in everything until then , thats only reason they let me come back :o .

and yeah tony d is possibly the nicest most down to earth guy anyone could ever meet and his life stories should be made into a feature film !

"well aye, we was walking home from the pub like , minding our own buisness. and 8 men came runnin at us with baseball bats like........"
