My Mum does transcriptions for a living so can get through a normal keyboard quite effectively.

Can anyone recommend a decent, cheapish mechanical keyboard? It needs to be standard layout, with a normal enter key, normal layout on the Insert/Delete/Home/End/Page Up/Page Down keys etc.

No backlights, no macros, no fancy media buttons, just a keyboard please :)

Thanks.

Yeh it does, all OCUK keyboards are UK layout unless stated otherwise.
They just use a lot of US pictures...
You can google the number on the page to get the layout (G80-3000LSCGB-2), it does have a short left shift though...

Looks good, thanks. Short left shift isn't a problem, her current Dell cheap keyboard is the same.

Is it best to use these with the PS/2 converter? I read something a while ago about mechanical keyboards working better through the PS/2 port?

The only actual advantage is full key rollover. If she's pressing more than around 6 keys at a time (varies by keyboard. The Cherry doesn't seem to mention the USB rollover) then USB would be best.
