Hi,

I'm after a mechanical keyboard for typing and looking for some recommendations. I've done some research and found that brown cherry keys are best.

I've read people recommend filco keyboards and they do look nice and ideal but I do not want to spend £120 if I can help it. If there is no other choice then will do.

It will be for general use and programming/developed.

Budget:£60-70

Thanks for the replies.

So which is it blues or browns?

QPad looks good.
Cherry also good but from the pics reminds me of the spectrum era :)

Any others for my requirements?

Is the difference between MK-80 and MK-50 the key lighting or is there something else?

I don't see the reason for paying extra for lighting as I wouldn't use it.

Thanks very much for all your help - I'll order the QPad-50 tonight. Any ideas how long it takes to ship ordering direct?

I've still not ordered this and still deciding.

The Qpad-50 when ordered direct makes it quite expensive and close to the price of the Qpad-80. The Qpad 80 has blue keys but I don't need the audio or back lighting - fewer cables the better.

I need a solid keyboard for typing and don't need anything else (USB, audio connectors, lighting).

I'm leaning towards the Filco (brown keys) as it seems to tick all the boxes (expensive though) but I may have to bite the bullet.
