Mechanical Keyboards.

Generally, I would say that banging your fingers on a mechanical keyboard is much more satisfying, and accurate, than a membrane keyboard.

I really like them and would recommend one with Cherry switches. You can get different types of switches eg quieter louder etc (differentiated by colour) to suit your taste.

As above, read the other threads for more info

Having just brought my first mechanical keyboard I have to say I wouldn't go back to anything else.
I'm even thinking of buying one to use at work.

They're really great once you get used to them. Now I've changed to one, I don't think I can ever go back to a normal keyboard!

If you are really used to membrane keyboards topre switches may be more your thing. You will get used to typing on a cherry keyboards reasonably quickly

Just got one today and I think my £10 dell is easier to type with but I may get to like it, it does feel nice.

They are quite different so will feel strange at first but I am sure that given a few hours you will find the positive engagement action of mechanical keys easier and more accurate ;)
