Any suggestions for a top brand wireless mechanical keyboards? Do they even exist?

Ideally Ducky / Filco / Das using Cherry MX Browns.

It seems like there are a few off brand but they're plagued with issues or don't use Cherry MX switches.

That actually seems quite decent but is Varmilo a reputable brand? I've never come across them but I'm only just venturing into this market.

There's quite a number out there but so many are majestically unavailable.

FILCO Majestouch Convertible 2 (Model: FKBC104M/EB2) seems like the only reputable option I can find but I was hoping for a... choice!

Surely can't be long before this becomes the next big thing? Mechs have been steadily growing in popularity for a while, and the sky is the limit once they go wireless and perhaps can produce a significantly quieter 'membrane level of noise' switch (if the MX Silent is still too loud for you), as I read plenty of comments from people put off by the noise, myself included.

I thought so too but apparently I'm in a very niche customer type; wireless, Cherry MX brown, any size but reputable name.

There's so few options it's pretty remarkable. In an ideal world I'd have a 2.4GHz wireless for the range, backlit keys, TKL with AA batteries but I can't see it happening.

This wireless Filco Majestouch MINILA 67 seems to be quite popular but I'm not a fan of keyboards that require you to adjust your muscle memory. On this one the shift key and backspace are way too small, plus the bottom row is shifted left by a quarter key.

Still, you can make it look pretty incredible.

I'm in deep lads, I'm talking way too deep on the research train.

My brain is now filled with desires for a fully custom build with Cherry MX brown/clear switches to get that tactile bump with no clack, lubed up with teflon based fluro, then EPDM 40A-R 2mm o-ring dampners slipped around each key cap cylinder with landing pads underneath to stop each key from bottoming out, back lit RGB LEDs, picking custom colors for each key, using ABS or PBT material ninja caps with that blank texture on top and key letters on the front wall, going for the TKL format for a desk or full sized for some sofa lap typing, a firm steel back plate with costar stabilizers and maybe just maybe a trackpoint mouse nipple.

Must fight that urge, my needs were so simple but look at me now. This is really dangerous!

I have a Varmilo mechanical keyboard I got from Massdrop a while back, it's perfectly fine, just not a well known brand over here yet.

That's good to know, I'll try to see if I can find any on sale or if it's also vanished from existence. What line of sight range are you able to get from the bluetooth receiver and keyboard before the connection starts to deteriorate?

Sorry missed your reply - mine is just the standard wired one. Take a look on massdrop though as they have run a drop on the bluetooth version so there should be some feedback on it, Varmilo VB87M Bluetooth Keyboard

Well the price of these wireless mechanicals was too high for me right now so I went for a wired 60% Pok3r to use at work for now and we'll see how it goes.

I picked up a Varmilo VB87M but made the mistake of assuming Gateron Clear switches are the equivalent to Cherry MX Clears. Absolutely hate it due to my mistake but it feels like there's something else off with it, I just can't seem to type precisely with it.

Seems as though the layout is ever so slightly off standard. I thought it was the inability to find F and J keys due to the lack of decent raised line, switched those keys out and it didn't help. Maybe it was the extremely thin and cheap keycaps, switched out all letter keys with a GMK set but no difference. When I whip out my pok3r I'm in wonder land so maybe the layout is off ever so slightly, I can't sing enough praise about the pok3r.

I'm going to build my own instead, all my parts arrived yesterday except for the bluetooth board so I can start creating this 40% wireless wonder.
