was thinking about this today and have diecided to play it all over again. two of my favorite ever games.

but, before i go rooting around in the attic for them does anyone know if they will work on win7?

and

anyone know of any good fan sites?

They are one of those good old games where the graphics are a thousand times better in my head xD

Gameplay being still superb of course.

I never gave this a chance at the time because it wasn't like the regular mechwarrior games and wasn't into RTS at the time. Kinda regreat that now...

got mech commander 2 but it looks pants and was very jerky

dont think it likes 64bit or win 7). couldnt patch it because it didnt like 64 bit either.

hope mech commander 1 will work.

I had mechcommander 1, great game.

Never got the 2nd though.

mechcommander 1 wont work on 64bit

wont install.

got another version of 2 and it works better but its got graphics problems. its playable, just looks rubbish.

I got the first one to work by literally copying the entire directory off the disk and running it that way ... It doesn't actually need installing.
It worked fine on vista 64 btw!

It was the Gold pack I had.
