I haven't played this game in a very long time! I used to have the non online version of the game (don't know if its the same game or not).

I used to put too many lasers on and then cause the mech to overheat and blow up or used to find a load of water to sit in to keep it from blowing up lol.

That sounds like Mechwarrior 3 - the water mech laser boats were a common feature

Not sure if they translated to MW:0

I played loads of MW3 and MW4, I've got MW:0 but never really got into it. Now, if they had VR support I may be tempted to give it another try...
