Hi all,

Just paying back through mechwarrior 4 and was wondering if there is going to be a mechwarrior 5 (or similar) game released this year??
 
i wish they would, no good new big stompy robot games come close to mw4 atm

MW4:Mercs was a good game, although im trying to get ahold of the expansion packs for inner sphere & clan, anyone knows where to get them?
 
I loved the earlier Mechwarrior games, and would love a Mechwarrior 5 or similar.

Some of my fondest memories of PC gaming are from MW2 on my 486, absolutely great game with a great level of detail, although the control system at the time was pretty hard to get used to (with the modern, cheapish game controllers it would be great).

MW5 was in development, but it was scrapped since MS got the rights and wanted a game for the X-box that was more action than sim.
 
It's a shame that there isn't. Loved all the mech games, even mechcommander did it for me. Oh well, I could always learn some gamez programming skillz and write mech 5 myself!
 
Might be the only way we would get a new mech game.

I'm just remembering back to the days when games were written by kids in bedrooms with specturms and atari's ...
 
Ahh big stompy mechanical robots with guns and missiles attached... Lovely!

Theres room on the market for a good mech game right now, throw on some good Gfx and loads of weapons and you got urself a hit.
