Media box

My house mate has a media box type thing that he drage movies/music onto and plugs it in his telly and off it goes, have seen them on ebay but would rather get one one with a decent remote and not from HK.

anyone have one they care to recommend?

are there any out there for sub £200, or ones where you can crack your own hdd in.

Try Pinnacle Showcenter I think its the 200 still, handles HD too

a lot of the tvix boxes are cheap, have a space for internal hard drive, can be connected to network drives, play divx and mp3s etc etc
just the user interface is very basic Imo

Not sure where you got that price from, but they're about £299 still. Well worth it though.

i've used a few, and found that having a cheap PC running MCE or Vista Media Centre is much, much better

I tried vista media centre but it was just too awkward for me, the tvix does everything perfectly and its so simple and quick!
