Hoping someone here knows a lot about MB cause I use it a lot atm on the htpc. Basically my query is, is there a way to specifically target certain stuff at its website link. IE I have a couple of shows / films which refuse to find any info, pics, etc. I know it uses tvdb and themoviedb or something. Is there a way to enter a show number and get it to know that its that... If that makes sense.

Also tv shows with one season, you have to have a folder with season1 to get them to show up as tv shows. Is there a way to get it to know its a tv show yet remove that folder. Its irritating on stuff like band of brothers.

what version are you using?

Either way, pretty sure the answer is no. The best way is to use IMDB for your film to see explicitly how it's written. I had the same issue with LEON for instance, MB should couldn't find it. The minute I changed it to LEON: The Professional, it found it straight away.

Re TV, no, again, but anysubset folder will make it think it's a TV show, not just if it's called Season 1

Doh thas a shame, but what I expected. I've had to also change the name of several folders to exactly match, but some of em just dont. Gimme a sec and I'll dig out an example...

CSI New York, The Shield, and The Walking Dead I cant get recognised for some reason. There were a load of films but my hd blew up for those not long ago so got a lot less now.

Try a program called media manager. You just point it to the directories and it does a look up for you, if it's not sure it will ask you for the imdb code, bloody helpful really. This does mean that you'll have to sit there while it goes through your tv shows and movies.

EDIT: I have it set up as TV SHOW > Season 1 > Episodes and so on and for the movies I have a folder with the movie name then the movie file in the folder.

I faked "the sheild" and "the waking dead" in media browser and they returned the results straight away. There were multiple results for the sheild so not sure which one you were after.

For CSI new york, it's listed as CSI NY. In the fetch window, you can type CSI: and it will return all results.

See above, I made an edit.

Yeah, I created a folder and just placed a text file in there so that MB would be able to search for it

For TV Programs I use Mediascout... found The Walking Dead no probs!.. even found The old 90's TV show 'The Flash'...

It writes the Meta Data and downloads all the Banners etc.. and sorts the files into the correct folders for you!.. and Media Browser just looks at that lot and it shows up how ever you have it set in your theme!!..

The Media Browser problem I have at the moment, is it keeps changing my Movie covers to French ones!.. and sometimes it just forgets what a movie is and I get the default blank with no info!.. (Family Guy - Blue Harvest, Something Something Something Dark Side and Its a trap have recently gone!!)

I use a combination of media browser and media centre master to find all the info about stuff on my media pc.

Works every time.

I use metabrowser for both movies and tv show renaming. It's set to watch my media folders so when a new tv episode or movie appears it sorts it out. Just need to see if I can get it to grab movie trailers automatically, at the moment I am doing that within the metabrowser app.
