Hi,

Does anyone know how to change the default folder for recorded TV.

I have a 120gb HDD sitting in my PC and I would it like to use that instead of my C: drive.

Thanks.

Also.

Any ideas how to sort this out?

I know what it looks like but trust me, the file is there.

No one has any ideas?

I was going to build a home theatre system using Media Centre but what's the point if it won't even play my movies. :(

I know that Media Centre and Media Player are inextricably linked so how come MP plays everything just fine but MC won't play anything.

ps
Do you ever get this feeling that you're talking to yourself?

Using Vista x64, per chance? You'll find that MC is x64, but the WMP default player is x86.

The 'Vista Codec Pack' includes an x64 addon that makes a large set of the codecs work with Media Center too.

It really is most obvious:

Settings | TV | Recorder | Recorder Storage

Thanks for the help, I think I'm sorted now.

I installed the x64 version of the Vista Codec Pack and I can now watch my movies.

Vistas' DVD maker even works because before it wouldn't allow me to import .avi :D
