Media Center edition quick question

I want to burn video dvds which can be played on a normal dvd player, and i've just discovered this:

Tip: If the Video DVD option is not displayed on the Disc Format page, the DVD burning software is not installed or is not working correctly. Contact your hardware manufacturer for assistance.

The option isn't displayed, so which software do i require?
Will it integrate with any dvd burning software?

As far as i have found out it cannot be done using standard media centre, it has to have some add on software.
One piece that i have found was Sonic Primetime Deluxe, but resenting buying the software for something that should be made available i found a freeware solution.

Becuase the files that are created in media centre are dvr-ms they cannot be wrote using conventional buring software. I found some programs that can be used to convert from this format to mpg then they can be wrote to dvd.
