Just having a play with Windows media Center as before i've always used media portal.

Now in media portal if i'm watching an avi etc and I stop the clip and go onto something else or close media portal. The next time I go back to that clip and try and run it media portal knows i've already started watching it and gives me the option of resuming from that point.

I'm trying to get the same feature in media Center, any ideas if there is one ?

Also another question, in Media center I've got it setup so that it uses my Coaxial output on my sound card. The problem here is that once I close media portal it doesn't switch the PC back to using the standard audio jack for my PC speakers. Any ideas on this one? as Media portal switches between the two fine.

if you have hc speakers why bother with the pc ones

Because the PC is in the other room with a VGA cable and Coaxal Cable running into the other room feeding the HDTV so when I'm using the media center i'm wanting it to use the digital out for viewing in the other room , but when I'm using the PC as normal i'm wanting to hear the sound using the standard PC speakers using the audio out jack.

Had another play with the resume and I can resume when I watch a dvd i've ripped to the drive via the DVD Library option. But if I go into My Video Section and pick an AVI or MKV file theres no resume option.
