Media Centre build CPU required next

Hi

I have started my media centre build have bought the items in red below I know need the CPU

Antec Fusion Remote Veris Black MATX Media Center Case

Mothboard
Asus M3N78-VM NVIDIA 8200 (Socket AM2+) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

I am after some advice on the Cpu, how much power does it need to have in order to playback HD/Blue Ray
I have been looking at this one
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5600 2.90GHz (Socket AM2)

For a media centre the 780g
based mobos are regarded as the best.

As for cpu it depends the most popular cpu for this board is the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4850e @2.5 gHz

anything over 2ghz will power hd playback fine.

Ditto. I have a 780G mobo and AMD 4850e coupled with 2GB of ram. It eats through any media I throw at it. You can't go wrong for the price really.
