Media centre for XP

I currently have a small dell laptop for when I'm away, I have USB tv tuner but need some software to run it. I use media centre on vista normally but don't have this option so what's my alternative option. Free is best but dont mind paying if I have to.

Mediaportal - might be a bit OTT, but is reasonably easy to set up single-seat
GB-PVR used to be the mutts nuts, haven't tried the new version NextPVR
