Hi all, after having MCE working nicely on my 32 bit vista ultimate install, it has recently hit the fan. Having changed absolutely nothing, it simply crashes whenever i enter the video library. I notice in the split second i have to see the library that theres no local disk c being searched, and im pretty confident its crapping out on trying to thumbnail a funky file in there or something similiar.

I tried removing all my files from the library list but its made no difference, the same folders appear and the same crash happens.

Any suggestions? Is there anyway i can actually uninstall the MCE portion and reinstall it? Or just clear the library even?

I've googled a fair bit on this with no luck!

Possibly wont work, but have you tried installing a windows vista codec pack like Klite? I had this problem and basically it was a corrupt codec. Reinstalling the codec pack did it for me!

Hmm that vageuly helped. In windows i still get the same crash, but my 360 now works as an extender as long as im not logged into the machine... weird.
