Media Centre - Help! - Speccing a system...

Guys,

If someone could help me out i would be most grateful.

What ive got -

Sony Wega 32" TV, 3 x Scart, 1 x S-Video (would prefer not to use due to position)
PACE Cable box (all chanells) (scart to tv, scart to video)
PS2
Shuttle PC, 3.0GHZ, 300gb, 1gb, DVD+-RWDL, connected via 10/100
Big coax speakers (not connected to anything just now)
What i need it to do -

Record/Playback TV programmes to HDD
Record TV programmes to CD/DVD
Watch DVD's
Play MP3's (through big speakers if possible)
Browse the web/check email
So guys, what do i need to buy, how do i wire it and what software do i need?

I don't know much about hooking up an htpc, but i have been playing with meedio recently and its a fantastic piece of software. Worth a look, saves you the bother of getting mce.

To connect your PC to the TV you can buy s-video to scart cables, you get the scart at one end and an s-video and 2 phono cables at the other end to connect to your PC.
