I am looking at building a new media centre pc. I was originally going to also build a seperate NAS box but I have instead decided to use a normal tower case (a pretty one) which has the space for 7 drives which should support my storage requirements for a while.
In addition to the spec below I have a couple nVidia GeForce 7900 GX somewhere which I was hoping to use. I think one should be up to the job? if not could you suggest a suitable replacement

- 1080p playback
- Lots of ripping + encoding
- Downloading constantly so will need to be low power
- Lots of disk space
- Linux so stick to nvidia (+xbmc)
- As near as possible £500
- Pretty and Quiet (like a good women (don't hit me))
