Media Centre Recorder Storage

Hi everyone, I'm trying to increase the recorder storage of Windows 7 media centre. I have no internal space so I purchased a large capacity USB flash drive. The problem is that it doesn't show up in the list of drives to record to? An external USB hard drive shows up without any problem. I tried both FAT32 and NTFS. Anyone know any workaround? Cheers.

You could (potentially!) set a Junction Point on a drive that Media Centre can see to point to a folder on the USB stick? That way, Windows thinks it's saving to your internal drive but the files actually end up on the USB.

Haven't tried it, but can't see any reason it wouldn't work.
