Media Centre Software Xbox 360 Controller?

I have an old PC tower here connected to the TV in the bedroom, I also own a USB wireless Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Controller Dongle, I was hoping I could set up some sort of Media PC for watching TV Episodes etc, I currently have Geexbox installed on it but it's really strange that they did not allow the wireless xbox 360 controller to be compatible with such software afaik.

does anyone know of any other software I could try? would be great to have some sort of dashboard I could control using the xbox controller.

aaah well that is interesting, I will test directly connecting the controller wired to see if it picks it up!
