Media computer

Hey guys,

A friend of mine has asked if ill pop round and reformat his computer the usual cleanup crap but he also wants to make it a media PC and hook it up to their TV.

What software should i be looking at? i'm guessing just windows7 with media centre would be fine but iv never really used this so some advice would be nice.

I have used XBMC in the past for playing Media to my TV.

There are more people on here who will give you some more/better advice im sure

I got an Acer Aspire Revo 3600 about a year and and put XBMC live on. Its an absolute dream. lower power, low noise, 1080p output. join it up onto a LAN and stream from other PCs, or copy files to the media center. I've a 1.5TB external drive hooked up to it.

check out youtube for "XBMC Aeon skin" and you'll be sold.
