ive looked everywhere but cant find any info

i know you guys are good fonts of knowledge (i hope anyway)

I cant find my media connect program anywhere so cant actually check. But dont you have to share stuff in the program and then check on your xbox?

yeah ive done that

according to media connect ive done this

is there a problem with it loading up mp3's ?

Shouldnt be.

Try removing all the shared folders in Media Connect, and just add a single folder that has an album in. Double check that the 360 is 'allowed'.

If that doesnt work then the only thing I can think of is the tags on the file as media sharing can be a bit funny for this. Make sure it has proper tags.

aaah

ok will try though ive got 25 gig of music they cant all be bad and also it doesnt pick up any folders or anything

Pretty sure everything has to be catalogued in Windows Media Player for it to be picked up. I remember having to do that.

I havn't even touched WMP and mine works fine, unless it does something in the background.

I know with Vista you HAVE to use WMP11 to get streaming working, but I dont think thats the case here.

Hmmm, could have been unrelated, then. I spit on WMP anyway :)

Try getting rid of Media Connect, then putting it back in.

I'm not going to be much help, tbh, as I have everything running hunkey-dorey on my Mac :)

that sounds like another plan

will give em a go tonight when i get home from work
