There is a whole thread about these celebrity nudes but I was quite interested in something pointed out on reddit and did a quick google...

In recent days Ricky Gervais has been blasted for his comments about not taking naked pics in the first place, some of the female celebrities involved are outraged, talking about suing people etc....

yet when this has happened to some US male celebs the story is a bit different:

http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/former-disney-star-dylan-sprouse-2933022

Dylan Sprouse - the former star of The Suite Life with Zack and Cody - did a very silly thing and pointed his camera at a mirror and clicked at the wrong moment.

The very naked wrong moment. So far two snaps have surfaced - one where he's thankfully wearing underwear and another where he's not.

Did he learn nothing from fellow Disney stars Vanessa Hudgens and Demi Lovato?

would they not get blasted if they printed the same thing today about these female celebrities given the current narrative is more along the lines of horrible breach of privacy etc..

oh and instead of being 'devastated' or threatening legal action or denying it... he, for some reason, apologised...

I messed up.. but I'd be a fool not to own up to it. Got to move past it I suppose.

same situation with another US male celeb here:

and again he apologises and the article gleefully links to the photos too:

Scroll down for pictures. To see the full NSFW images, click here.

UPDATE: Greg Oden admits the pictures are indeed of him, and apologizes to everyone. Watch.

Oden told the media Tuesday night that the nude photos are "very embarrassing," and said he "would like to apologize to everybody: Portland, the fans, the organization."

'every day sexism' in reverse?

They were apologising because of their poorly trimmed and small sized manhoods.
Anyone with a suitably sized dong wouldn't think to apologise and would retweet ad infinitum.

Some of the female celebs in question have nothing to be embarassed about.
