Ok so I found out what was wrong. The files I was trying to import were the digital copies from triple/double play blurays, although they weren't the original copies as they were backed up to an external network HDD and then copied back to my internal HDD for transcoding. Due to the licensing software on them all (ie the athorisation code) i am unable to even watch the copied versions of the digital copy! I just get a message asking for the authorisation code and when I entered it, another message popped up to say that I had used the code too many times!
So now I can't play these digital movies anymore! oh well guess I'll just rip them from the disk, for backing up, as I'v already paid for the right to sue them digitaly on my PC!
