Looking to put a dedicated GPU into my new HP N40L to turn it into a media center.
The card has to be low profile, fan less, output HDMI with audio throughput & have some future proofing.

Looking around, these two appear to will fit the bill

As I normally run nVidea cards in my systems, I don't know which one would be the best choice.

Any insight will be much appreciated. :)

Generally the newer the card, the more features it'll have and support. They will both do the job perfectly fine of course, but I would prefer a newer generation GPU my self.

But for media playback, the 512MB 6450 would be perfectly fine, saving yourself a fiver or so.
