Hi Guys

Please help....

What I need is something that I can transfer HD clips etc onto, wirelessly if possible and allow me to view them in HD on my TV (TV is HD compatible)

So I am going to need some sort of Media hub with a harddrive and wireless capabilities and also be hd compatible....any ideas?

TIA

If you are streaming this from a media center PC then the xbox360 + wireless adaptor is the toy for you.

It doesn't store the data on the HDD it just streams it.

There are some limitations. Namely DivX needs some software running on your PC to make it compatable with media center (its free though).

I do both..

A MCE laptop streaming to my X360 projected via an AE700 in the loft and a whacking monster of a HTPC connected directly to my HDTV in the living room.

Overall yes the HTPC route is best and lets you use more tweakable software like Theatretek and VLC but have to say my brief testing streaming to X360 has been impressive CSI 1080i looked brill and its easy to setup.

Wireless will not handle 1080i the CSI sample was 16MB sec

Thats pretty much the reason i want to run the media directly and not streaming as wirelessly this is not going to work (and it has to be wireless due to nagging wife!)

Mr Latte, i assume your not running it through your 360 wirlessly then?

another silly question.....

If i were to build a htpc would a need a specific graphics card to run HD? or is it just down to screen res?
