Building a media PC for the front room. Everything arrived a few mins a go.

You've got some nice kit there. I've always wanted a htpc but don't have the funds, or enough media to justify it.

Sigh....still in the process of cutting everything from my PC onto my new 1TB hard drive, to use as my external hard drive. Then I've got to copy all that into the media PC.

Fun times. Only another 240Gb of stuff to put onto the external before I can copy it onto the media PC drive.

Here it is all built.

Not a lot of space left on the hard drive now.

Plastic part of the drive cover, where the spring hooks onto broke off, so will have to see if Antec can send a new one. Not that fussed though really.

Sort of tidy.

Here is how it looks in place.

Not had any problems with playback of anything yet.

And it is very quiet, all the fans are on low settings and in the cabinet it can't be heard.

if you dont mine me asking how much did it set you back?

Also have you put your dvd collection on it? if you have what did you use as when ever i play around with puting dvd's on my pc the picture is rubbish or the file size is massive!!

Are you using stock cooler and what temps are you getting? Just curious to know how your rig compares to a Athlon II x3 setup
