So my Q6600 + 4gig DDR2 + Evga Nforce 680i + 8800GTS , that is now been used for media duties is getting a bit old, so i am looking for a cheap replacement. The Q6600 has issues with Flash decoding on Twitch using source

I have my Gaming PC, so all this build will be used for is Media consumption, with very little gaming, but would like the option

My needs are a case that holds 6 x 3.5" HDD's (if possible 7) + 1 x SSD. My CM Stacker 832 is an absolute mess cable wise, so i am looking for a case with good cable management

I will be using my PS that is an Enermax Galaxy 1000W EGX1000EWL ATX2.2 Modular PSU

So Mobo, ram (8 gig) and CPU(plus cooler) is required or alternatives to the components i have mentioned.

Can it be done cheap?

Low power consumption items would be good as i would like to maybe leave it on 24/7

No SLI needed and will not be overclocking

Intel preferred

The Asus H81M-K has only 4 sata ports from what i can see. I need 6 at least. I will keep looking.
 
Media only?

No need for discrete graphics... use the Intel HD onboard graphics on the 4570... it's perfectly good for 4K, let alone 1080p ;)

I build a silent PC (case is a big heatsink) with a dual core i3 & I'm fussy about performance... it's more than enough. No HDDs in mine though... they're in the basement.
