media PC cpu

Is an amd xp2000+ or 2200+ cpu based pc good enough to run as a media pc, to play HD stuff and other media files? Currently have a ATI 9600pro graphics card in it but if needed would upgrade

I'd say you'd need something a bit beefier to play HD stuff.

I've got an E2140 for my Media Centre, works a treat bargin for sub £50
