Hi Lads,
Can you help me spec a media pc build? :)
Looking to build a media PC basically for playing music and video. Trying to get the cheapest possible price for it all.
Must have 1080p output on motherboard. Can be either AMD or Intel.

Thanks Dom

So far I have came up with this:

Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (ST3500320AS)

Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H AMD 780G Micro-ATX (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 (MB-115-GI)

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4600+ 2.40GHz (Socket AM2) - Retail £32.99

GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C5 800MHz Value DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400DC)

Samsung TS-H653N/HPBH 18x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer ReWriter (Black) - OEM

Antec NSK 4480 Mini Tower Case (Silver) - 380W Earth Watts PSU £44.99

Total : £234.87

I just bought a Dell Vostro 200ST PC from the bay. £185 for E4600, 2GB RAM, 500GB HDD and all in a nice little HTPC style case neat and tidy, with a Vista Home Preniun licence too. All I need now is an ATI 3450 to give the HDMI out and im sorted.

Went for this option as its pre built, small, come with an OS and is a lot cheaper than building one. Might be worth a look.
