Media PC using spares recommendations plz
OK i have a few spare parts due to one of the processor's dying on me,
so i figured what better way to do something useful with the leftovers than make a media pc
Now the requirements for this rig are (in order of importance):
-Cheap (i dont have a budget per-se but i want to spend as little as possible)
-Small
-Quiet
-Performance & HD Ready
-Ease of use
-Looks
-Play games now and again (obviously not at the highest settings
)
The last will obviously be affected by the software used but i thought i would throw it in as something to bear in mind.
Now i have the following components:
-DFI Lanparty Ultra-D NF4
-Various heatsinks
-Apex Ultra-Watercooling kit (altho i was going to use this for my core2duo)
-WinTV-NOVA-T PCI (digital tv card)
-Creative Soundblaster Audigy 5.1 PCI Soundcard
-Seasonic S12 Silent PSU
-Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 500GB 16MB IDE HDD
Edit: i also already have a DVD RAM drive
Thanks in advance
