Hi all. Im planning to build a media pc in the new year but don't know much about them.

I'm looking at the following ion motherboard and just wanted to check it's capable of running windows 7 to be used for Internet browsing and 1080p blu-ray playback.

Zotac ION (N330) IONITX F-E DDR2 Mini ITX Motherboard [IONITX F-E ]

Thanks in advance.

Further to my previous post I'm looking to buy the following and would like some advise as to whether its compatible.

I'm also open to suggestions if I can improve it or save a bit of money!

Case: Antec ISK 310-150
Motherboard: Zotac ION (N330) IONITX F-E DDR2 Mini ITX Motherboard
Optical Drive: Sony Optiarc BD-5730S 6x Blu-ray Writer / 8x DVD±RW SATA Drive - OEM
Memory: Corsair XMS2 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C5 TwinX Dual Channel (TWIN2X4096-6400C5C)
OS Storage: Kingston SSDNow V-Series 30GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive (SNV125-S2/30GB)
Media Storage (in an external dock): Samsung SpinPoint F2 EcoGreen 1.5TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (HD154UI)

I hope to run 64bit Win 7 with Media Portal and watch 1080p movies and do a bit of Internet browsing.

Thanks again

SSD is overkill for movies and internet tbh. Nice to have obviously, but not really worth it imo. Personally i much prefer the Sugo SG05 case too - more upgrade potential and the 12cm fan should allow for it to be quieter. But yes those components will fit together well.

As a side note why use Media Portal over XBMC? Not trying to start an argument or anything just interested as i'm switching back to PCs from Mac and nothing looks quite as good as Plex.

Thanks for the reply. Good point on the ssd, thought it might just make things a bit quieter and cooler.

No reason for choosing media portal over xbmc other than some mates have it already set up and I like the look and feel of it :-)
