Media player 10

allo all, got a problem with windows media player 10,
so I want to listen to sum tunes so I click on a .mp3 music file and am loving the tune but get bored so I want to change the song so I double click on another .mp3 file while media is still open BUT it takes ages about 30 - 40 seconds to hear the song and see the visuals. It NEVER used to take as long as this never at most about 5 seconds. I’ve checked to see if any updates are available but it says am running the most up-to-date versions!

Can anyone help me please
