Media Player 11 searching problems

Just installed Windows Media Player 11 and am having some problems. It imported my MP3's correctly, 26,000 odd.

However when I search for a band not all their songs are found. However if I change to "Genre" view I can then find the band I was looking for by scrolling down the page until I find it.

Anyone else had this problem ?

I was previously using the Beta and had no such trouble. I may change back if I can't fix this problem but the Beta was horribly slow at importing the files.

I can't believe I'm the only person having these problems ?

Uninstalled, reinstalled and still the searching bug continues.....

Somebody must know something about this ?

I'm not posting to be of any use to you mate but I've found other stupid things in the final version of WMP that didn't exist in the beta, and for that reason I switched back to the beta version. Laughable really.
When I searched by text for a particular artist and double-clicked one of their songs, it would play either a different song by that artist or just a totally different song altogether.
Also, the "Add to playlist on double-click" is now gone - when I double-click a song, it clears my existing list, plays the selected song and fires the rest of my collection into the playlist too Just ridiculous, that feature's been around since version 9 (at least) up until v11 beta.

ok cheers..... i tried to uninstall 11 but couldn't so have reinstalled windows and will reinstall the Beta..... crazy

5tephen : did you revert to Beta 1 or 2 ? I can't find the Beta 1 anywhere on the net to download again ?? any idea where I can get it ??
